Garmin iQue 3600 Battery Installation Guide

The instructions below come with no warranty or guarantee, proper or improper assembly or use of excessive force may result in damage to the parts involved or to your PDA/Mp3 Player. These instruction require a moderate level of technical ability and proficiency in the use of hand tools, as well as a general understanding of electronic components. Buyer assumes full responsibility for the installation of this replacement battery.

Step 1:

Using the included T-6 screwdriver remove the four screws from the case.

 

 Step 2:

Using your finger pry open the case starting with one of the bottom corners of the PDA and work your way around the case. The front case cover should easily unsnap from the rest of the PDA.

Step 3:

With the front cover removed, we can remove the two screws holding the motherboard in place. Use the included phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws.

 

 Step 4:

Flip the motherboard according to the diagram to the left to give access to the battery. The motherboard should still be attached to the case by a cable. Be very careful when moving the motherboard as the navigation wheel and other small parts can be damaged.

 

 Step 5:

Using your finger or the tip of the screwdriver, carefully pull on the power cable plug. Once unplugged, you can remove the battery from the PDA.

Please pay attention to have the original orientation (power cable towards the bottom of the PDA). Connect the power cable of the new battery by positioning it within the socket, pushing it in. Apply the new battery to the original glue spots within the battery compartment.

Put the motherboard back within the guides and put back the two screws. Snap on the front cover and put back the four screws.

Your new battery will need a minimum of three hours of charging before first use.
