Clie Battery Installation Guide

The instructions below come with no warranty or guarantee, improper assembly or use of excessive force may result in damage to the parts involved or to your PDA/Mp3 Player. By utilizing these instructions, you agree to hold Laptops For Less blameless and unaccountable for damages or problems caused by use of these instructions. These instruction require a moderate level of technical ability and proficiency in the use of hand tools, as well as a general understanding of electronic components. Buyer assumes full responsibility for the installation of this replacement battery.

Step 1:

Using a screwdriver, remove the four screws from the battery compartment.

 

 Step 2:

Once the screws are removed, pull the battery compartment cover towards the bottom of the Clie and it should detach from the case.

 

 Step 3:

Using your finger or the screwdriver, unglue the old battery from the case. The battery should now only be attached by its black and red power cable.

 

 Step 4:

Disconnect the power cable connector by gently pulling on the ribbon cable. The connector should pull free allowing you to remove the battery from the Clie.

 

 Step 5:

To insert the new battery, line up the power cable connector with the power socket. Use the tip of a screwdriver to push the connector into the socket. Apply the new battery on the case within the guide brackets. The battery should stick to the original glue spots. Please pay attention to have the original orientation (connector towards the top of the Clie).

Snap on the battery compartment cover and put back the four screws.

Your new battery will need a minimum of three hours of charging before first use.
