Clie Battery Installation Guide

The instructions below come with no warranty or guarantee, improper assembly or use of excessive force may result in damage to the parts involved or to your PDA/Mp3 Player. By utilizing these instructions, you agree to hold Laptops For Less blameless and unaccountable for damages or problems caused by use of these instructions. These instruction require a moderate level of technical ability and proficiency in the use of hand tools, as well as a general understanding of electronic components. Buyer assumes full responsibility for the installation of this replacement battery.

Step 1:

Using the a 'Y" Head (not included) or flat head screwdriver, remove the single screw from the battery compartment cover. Remove the cover.

*Note* Y head screwdriver may be substituted with a flat head.

 

 Step 2:

Gently pull on battery removal tape to aid in sliding battery out of the unit. Battery will still be attached to the unit by the power cable.

 

 Step 3:

Disconnect the power cable connector by gently pulling on the power cable. The connector should pull free allowing you to remove the battery from the Clie. 

Insert the new battery by lining up the connector with the socket. Push the connecter in with the tip of the included screwdriver. Slide the new battery within the battery compartment. Please pay attention to the original battery orientation (connector on same side as power cable).

Snap on the battery compartment cover and put back the screw.Your new battery will need a minimum of three hours of charging before first use.
