Clie Battery Installation Guide

The instructions below come with no warranty or guarantee, improper assembly or use of excessive force may result in damage to the parts involved or to your PDA/Mp3 Player. By utilizing these instructions, you agree to hold Laptops For Less blameless and unaccountable for damages or problems caused by use of these instructions. These instruction require a moderate level of technical ability and proficiency in the use of hand tools, as well as a general understanding of electronic components. Buyer assumes full responsibility for the installation of this replacement battery.

Step 1:

Using the included screwdriver, remove the five screws from the outside case cover.

 

 Step 2:

Once the screws are removed, carefully pry off the front case cover surrounding the screen and buttons.

 

 Step 3:

Using the included screwdriver, remove the two screws that attach the motherboard to the back of the case.

 

 Step 4:

After the two screws are removed, flip over the LCD screen. The screen should still be attached by ribbon and power cables. This process will give you access to the third motherboard screw. Remove this screw.

 

 Step 5:

Disconnect the battery power cable connector by gently pulling on the ribbon cable. This connector is located near the bottom of the PDA.

Step 6:

To remove the battery carefully lift the motherboard section covering the battery. Once you have enough room to remove the battery, carefully pull it out. To insert the new battery, apply the new battery on the case within the guide brackets. The battery should stick to the original glue spots. Line up the power cable connector with the power socket. Use your finger or the tip of a screwdriver to push the connector into the socket.  Please pay attention to have the original orientation.

Put back the three motherboard screws. Snap on the front case cover and put back the five screws.

Your new battery will need a minimum of three hours of charging before first use.
