Clie Battery Installation Guide

The instructions below come with no warranty or guarantee, improper assembly or use of excessive force may result in damage to the parts involved or to your PDA/Mp3 Player. By utilizing these instructions, you agree to hold Laptops For Less blameless and unaccountable for damages or problems caused by use of these instructions. These instruction require a moderate level of technical ability and proficiency in the use of hand tools, as well as a general understanding of electronic components. Buyer assumes full responsibility for the installation of this replacement battery.

Step 1:

Using the included Philips screwdriver, remove the single screw from the battery compartment cover. Remove the cover. You should be able to see the battery, but not have access to it.

 

 Step 2:

Using the included flathead screwdriver, remove the four screws from the back of the case. The back of the case can be easily lifted from the PDA. You should now have access to the battery.

 

 Step 3:

Disconnect the power cable connector by gently pulling on the power cable. The connector should pull free allowing you to remove the battery from the Clie. 

Insert the new battery by lining up the connector with the socket, pushing it in. Apply the new battery within the guide brackets. Please pay attention to have the original orientation (connector towards the top of the Clie).

Snap on the battery compartment cover and put back the four screws. Attach the battery compartment cover and put back the screw.

Your new battery will need a minimum of three hours of charging before first use.
