Clie Battery Installation Guide

The instructions below come with no warranty or guarantee, improper assembly or use of excessive force may result in damage to the parts involved or to your PDA/Mp3 Player. By utilizing these instructions, you agree to hold Laptops For Less blameless and unaccountable for damages or problems caused by use of these instructions. These instruction require a moderate level of technical ability and proficiency in the use of hand tools, as well as a general understanding of electronic components. Buyer assumes full responsibility for the installation of this replacement battery.

Step 1:

Using the included screwdriver, remove the four screws from the battery case.

 

 Step 2:

Once the screws are removed, pull the bottom cover away from the Clie. The cover should still be attached by a sound cable, so slide the cover towards the front of the PDA to allow access to the battery. Pull the battery away from the case to allow access to the battery power connector.

 

 Step 3:

To remove the battery power cable, carefully pull the cable away from the connector. To insert the new battery, line up the power cable connector with the power socket. Use your finger or the tip of a screwdriver to push the connector into the socket. Apply the new battery on the case within the guide brackets. Please pay attention to have the original orientation (power cable on the same side as power connector).

Snap on the back cover of the Clie and put back the four screws.

Your new battery will need a minimum of three hours of charging before first use.
