Palm IIIc Battery Installation Guide

The instructions below come with no warranty or guarantee, proper or improper assembly or use of excessive force may result in damage to the parts involved or to your PDA/Mp3 Player. These instructions require a moderate level of technical ability and proficiency in the use of hand tools, as well as a general understanding of electronic components. Buyer assumes full responsibility for the installation of this replacement battery.

 

Step 1:

Using the included screwdriverscrewdriver.jpg (11606 bytes) remove the four screws from the case.

 

Step 2:

Using your fingers, pry open the case starting with one of the top corners of the PDA. The back of the case should easily unsnap from the rest of the PDA.

 

Step 3:

Once the case is separated, you will notice the battery at the bottom of the PDA is attached to the motherboard by a black and red power cable.

 

Step 4:

Disconnect the battery connector by gently pulling the black and red power cable towards the nearest edge of the PDA.

Step 5:

Using your finger or the tip of a screwdriver, carefully lift the battery from its plastic guides. The battery should pop out and you can now remove it from the PDA.

Please pay attention to have the original orientation (power cable towards the top of the PDA). Connect the power cable of the new battery by positioning it within the socket on the motherboard, pushing it in.

Snap on the cover and put back the four screws.

Your new battery will need a minimum of three hours of charging before first use.
