Palmone Treo 600 Battery Installation Guide

The instructions below come with no warranty or guarantee, proper or improper assembly or use of excessive force may result in damage to the parts involved or to your PDA/Mp3 Player. These instructions require a moderate level of technical ability and proficiency in the use of hand tools, as well as a general understanding of electronic components. Buyer assumes full responsibility for the installation of this replacement battery.

 

 Step 1:

You will first need to remove your stylus, memory card, and any additional add-ons. Using the included tool remove the rubber covers concealing the four screws from the case. Using the T6 torx wrench, remove the four screws.

 

 

 Step 2:

With all 4 screws removed you can take off the back cover of the unit. The back cover is clipped on so it might be hard to remove. Do so by using the case opening tool. Slide the tool all the way around the PDA releasing the plastic tabs that are pointed out in the picture.

 

 Step 3:

Once the case is separated, flip over the front cover to expose the battery compartment. You will notice the battery at the bottom of the PDA attached to the motherboard.

 

Step 4: *Important*
Follow the instructions according to your battery connection.


Connection1: If the cable attached to your battery is glued or soldered, we strongly recommend that you consult with an electronic technician before continuing the installation process.

Connection 2: Remove the cable from the socket as shown in the picture on the right. Remove the old battery, and insert the new one. Reattach the cable to the new battery. Repeat the steps in reverse order to complete the installation
